DR. SOLBERG BIO:
Dr. Brian Solberg is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon recognized by the Orthopaedic Trauma Association and peers as an expert in the treatment and management of complex fractures including those of the pelvic ring and acetabulum, non-unions and malunions.
While attending University Of Maryland School Of Medicine, Dr. Solberg joined the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After earning his medical degree he went on to perform his surgical internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Yale-New Haven Medical Center.
Enthralled with the complexities of trauma cases and the challenges they present, Dr. Solberg completed a one-year fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at the University of California, Davis where he focused on complex fracture management, pelvic and acetabular trauma and care of multiply injured patients.
A fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Othopaedic Trauma Association, California Orthopaedic Association, Western Orthopaedic Association and the Yale Orthopaedic Association, Dr. Solberg also actively serves in AO North America as faculty for a number of educational presentations. He has published several peer-reviewed publications including manuscripts in The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma, Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research and the Journal of Trauma.
Primary research interests of Dr. Solberg include biomechanics fixed angle plating techniques, treatment of osteoporotic fractures and clinical outcomes of proximal humerus fractures in ostoporotic bone.
In September of 2001, Dr. Solberg took over as Director of Orthopaedic Trauma Services at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. In the seven years he served as director, the trauma service grew and developed a trauma fellowship program.
Dedicated to providing compassionate care and helping patients recover from either acute injury or chronic pain, Dr. Solberg founded the LA Orthopaedic Specialists in 2009.
