Nicolle Nappier-Ionascu, MD, is a licensed psychologist who is available for Expert Witness Testimony or Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs) at several locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. She specializes in severe mental illness, learning disorders, developmental delay, neurocognitive disorders and post-concussive syndrome.


headshot_ionescu_nicolleNicolle Napier-Ionascu, PsyD, is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist who specializes in neurocognitive disorders. She received her bachelors degree from University of California at Berkeley and earned her doctorate at the Wright Institute. She went on to complete her fellowship at San Francisco General Hospital/University of California San Francisco.

Dr. Napier-Ionascu began her career at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in San Francisco. She then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she practiced as a clinical neuropsychologist at Presbyterian Hospital’s Rehabilitation Center and Carolina Center for Development and Rehabilitation. She was also an active faculty member at Queen’s University of Charlotte during that time.

She currently runs a private practice in Pleasant Hill, CA, and is a member of the online faculty at University of Phoenix. She also practices at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and Research Center in Oakland, conducting research and working with children referred for both pre-surgical and post-surgical assessments.

Dr. Napier-Ionascu specializes in helping patients with severe mental illness, learning disorders, developmental delay, neurocognitive disorders, and post-concussive syndrome by using neuropsychological evaluation and treatment. Her professional memberships include National Academy of Neuropsychology, Society for Personality Assessment, and California Alumni Association, Berkeley.
